There's no better time to quit than right now!

Freedom From Smoking ®
Freedom from Smoking is an nine week program developed by the American Lung Association.  During the nine weeks, participants learn about their personal addiction to tobacco products, how to overcome cravings, stress management, tips to prevent future relapses, and much more.  Classes are facilitated by a trained and certified instructor.  Funded by the American Lung Association of the Mid-Atlantic (South Central Region).

Participants receive free nicotine replacement therapy vouchers (nicotine patch, gum and lozenges) if they wish to use any of these products to aid in the process of quitting.

NICOTINE ANONYMOUS GROUP

We are thrilled to announce the start up of a Nicotine Anonymous Program here in Lebanon County.  The Lebanon VA Medical Center is hosting a Nicotine Anonymous meeting every Monday, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Building 144.  This group is open to the public.  You do not have to be a veteran to participate.

The primary purpose of Nicotine Anonymous is to help all those who would like to cease using tobacco and nicotine products in any form. The fellowship offers group support and recovery using the 12 Steps as adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous to achieve abstinence from nicotine.  There are no dues or fees for Nicotine Anonymous membership.

For more information regarding the program or for directions and parking instructions, please contact Cindy Showalter at 272-6621, ext. 5443.
